International Activities

International Camps!

Every three years at West Coker the Scouts & Explorers go on an International camp for their summer camp experience. Last year it was Kent International Jamboree and in 2016 we will be off to Essex International.

Not only do the young people get to take part in a massive amount of activities and evening entertainment experiences but they get the opportunity to meet fellow Scouters from all over their own country as well as Scouters from all over the world. A very exciting and life changing experience for all the young people and something that will stick with them for years to come!

World Jamboree Contingents (Leaders & Young people)

At West Coker and within our Partnership Explorer unit we have had a number of leaders experience the adventures of going to a World Jamboree. young people and adults are selected to go at specially run events in the County. The events run every four years in a different location each time.

In 2015 at the World Jamboree in Japan one of our Explorer leaders will be part of the leadership team taking young people across the 50,000 strong capacity event. We wish him luck!

In 2019 the World Jamboree will move to America where we hope you could be one of the West Coker Scouts or Explorer representing us!
