Duke of Edinburgh Award (14 - 25yrs)

A DofE programme is a real adventure from beginning to end.  It doesn't matter who you are or where you're from.  You just need to be aged between 14 and 24 and realise there's more to life than sitting on a sofa watching life pass you by. Scouting is a major provider of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.  Getting involved here in Avon couldn't be easier. You just need to be part of the Explorer Scout or Scout Network Section and register to take part.

When you first join Explorers, we will sit down with you and your parents and outline how to sign up, explain what are the different levels of the award? What you need to complete them and lots of other useful information to help you along your way.

If you take up the challenge, you'll find yourself helping people or the community, getting fitter, developing skills, going on an expedition and taking part in a residential activity (Gold only). Your programme can be full of activities and projects that get you buzzing, and along the way you'll pick up experiences, friends and talents that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

If you want to get involved in Explorers and take up the DofE challenge contact us on: info@westcokerscouts.co.uk
